If you are contracted to be virtual, you will need to make sure that you come in to pick up your supplies. There may be fabric or pattern paper that you will need for your assignments. These will be laid out on the “Pick Up” table located outside the main office. From time to time you may need to contact your instructor if there is something that you don’t have or if you have run out. These are your responsibilities so you’ll want to think ahead if an assignment is posted and you don’t have the materials you need.
work in the room whenever you have a free bell and before or after school. There will be assignments that are due on Saturday and on Tuesday each week. These assignments will usually consist of watching a video and writing a summery of what you have seen or some other task. Your assignment will need to be uploaded to the file with your name on it. Late work will be marked down so you will want to be on time. If you are not sure what the homework or classwork is for a given week you can find it under the “Homework/Classwork” tab on Blackboard. If you have questions you will need to email the teacher. Do not wait to ask questions or put them off till the next class as you will then be a week late. A ”Blended Class” is mostly about Communication (between you and your teacher). Look at the assignment when it is assigned so you can ask questions in time to get answers.
What is expected in this class
This is a blended class and as such we meet in person once a week. When we meet in person we will be doing hands on work in the classroom. You should be able to finish this work in the class time allotted however it is your responsibility to finish this work before the end of the day as we will be moving on with all projects.
